We are thrilled to announce that WOLCA will be fielding a competitive VEX Robotics team in partnership with iCode for students in grades 3rd-6th! To participate, students should not be older than 12 by May 1st, 2025. Our team will be preparing for elementary robotics competitions, which our school will be hosting in November, December, and potentially January/February. This is a fantastic opportunity for your child to develop STEM skills, practice teamwork, and showcase their talents in a competitive setting.
We are excited to announce the launch of WOLCA's Newspaper & Multi-Media, an incredible opportunity for our students! This student-driven initiative encourages creativity and writing, allowing participants to choose their contributions. Students can explore various roles, such as graphic design and digital art by creating advertisements or comic strips. Other opportunities include journalistic writing, creative writing, and producing digital content like word searches and puzzles. Our goal is to publish a monthly newspaper.
In addition to the newspaper, the club will also assist with the design, written content, and photography for the yearbook. Members will enjoy special privileges, including access to the school's camera equipment and a "press pass" for school events and activities.
