Tuition Assistance

Tuition and Financial Aid

At Word of Life Christian academy, we strongly believe that a significant portion of our mission is building relationships. The relationships that develop between our families and staff are based on a shared understanding that WOLCA is here to aid and support your spiritual and academic vision for your child. We understand that this vision is what has led you to invest in private, Christian education. To this end, we invite you to schedule an Educational Consultation with our Principal, Mrs. Bonnie Johnson. Allow us to help you determine your child’s educational needs and see how WOLCA can aid you in achieving them.

We understand that monetary concerns do play a role in this decision-making process. WOLCA is proud to offer school-funded financial aid to those families that qualify. In order to apply for aid, your student/s must already have begun the application process to enter our school. We would be happy to discuss this with you in a meeting with our financial advisor, Susette Ubalde.  You can contact her at (703) 354-4222 ext. 111 or

Let us work together to welcome your child into the WOLCA family.

Tuition Assistance Limits

Tuition Assistance applies only to tuition charges, will depend on the amount present in the financial aid fund at the time, and is limited to a maximum of 50% of the net tuition due, after application of any appropriate discount. Registration fees, extended care, book and supply fees, or any other types of fees are not covered by financial aid and are the sole responsibility of the parent.

How to Apply

All families who have a financial need MUST apply through FACTS to be eligible for Financial Assistance. Applications must be submitted directly through the FACTS website. CLICK HERE FOR FACTS Website. FACTS collects a $30 processing fee for this service, payable at the time of application submission to FACTS. We will not accept requests for financial aid unless you have submitted an application through FACTS.

Deadline to Submit Application

Tuition Assistance applications will be processed initially by FACTS through their Need Analysis System. Full disclosure of income, expenses, assets and liabilities is required when aid is requested, including a copy of the preceding year’s federal tax return with all supporting documents. In order for your Tuition Assistance application to be considered, it is VERY important that ALL required information is received by FACTS by the due date. Application due by May 31st. This will be a confidential financial analysis to determine eligibility and final eligibility reports will then be sent to the school for review. FACTS will make a recommendation based on parameters provided to them by the Word of Life Christian Academy.

Returning Families

Returning families interested in continuing to receive aid MUST re-apply each year. Please understand that there is no guarantee that assistance will be approved or continued at the same level each year.

Award Process

Final determinations regarding Tuition Assistance Awards will be decided after reviewing all documentation. All applicants will be notified of the School’s decisions in late July. Families approved for assistance will have their tuition payment adjusted to reflect their approved assistance. Financial aid could be discontinued for failure to keep tuition payments current, a serious disciplinary action for the student, or poor academic performance.

Since Word of Life Christian Academy has limited financial assistance it is recommended that families first seek outside opportunities for financial aid.
