Word of Life Christian Academy has a Limited Tuition Assistance program for families demonstrating genuine financial need. Our assistance is not a scholarship program based on academic merit. It is solely based upon demonstrated financial need and is only available for Grades K5—8th. Preschool students should seek assistance through the Virginia Childcare Subsidy Program or Fairfax County Childcare Assistance and Referral Program. Tuition Assistance applies only to tuition charges, and will depend on the amount present in the financial aid fund at that time, and is limited to a maximum of 50% of the net tuition due, after application of any appropriate discount. Registration fees, extended care, book and supply fees, or any other types of fees are not covered by financial aid and are the sole responsibility of the parent.
All families who have a financial need MUST apply through FAST Financial Aid to be eligible for Financial Assistance. CLICK HERE to apply. FAST collects a $38 processing fee for this service, payable at the time of application submission to Fast. We will not accept requests for financial aid unless you have submitted application through FAST.
Tuition Assistance applications will be processed initially by FAST through their Need Analysis System. Full disclosure of income, expenses, assets and liabilities is required when aid is requested, including a copy of the preceding year’s federal tax return with all supporting documents. In order for your Tuition Assistance application to be considered, it is VERY important that ALL required information is received by FAST by the due date. Applications and all required documents are due by May 1st, No Exceptions. This will be a confidential financial analysis to determine eligibility and final eligibility reports will then be sent to the school for review. FAST will make a recommendation based on parameters provided to them by the Word of Life Christian Academy.
Returning families interested in continuing to receive aid MUST re-apply each year. Please understand that there is no guarantee that assistance will be approved or continued at the same level each year.
The School will make final determinations regarding Tuition Assistance Awards after reviewing all documentation. All applicants will be notified of the School decisions in late July.
Families approved for assistance will have their tuition payment adjusted to reflect their approved assistance. Financial aid could be discontinued for failure to keep tuition payments current, a serious disciplinary action for the student, or poor academic performance.
Since Word of Life Christian Academy has limited financial assistance it is recommended that families first seek outside opportunities for financial aid.
