Ms. June LoganFine Arts/Art History Teacher K – 8th Grade
Our unique art program is led by an experienced art teacher who specializes in fostering art talent and appreciation and integrating art with history. A special after-school Select Art class fully develops students’ creative abilities.
Ms. Logan has a degree in Fine Arts and has taught art and art history to students for approximately 20 years in numerous Fairfax County and Christian school settings. Additionally, she was selected to be listed as Who’s Who among American Teachers. Her students have won art contests every year during her teaching career, including a national contest at the Corcoran Art Gallery in Washington, DC.
At WOLCA, we believe that each student’s dramatic talent and presentation skills should be fostered and developed to their full potential. Unlike many schools, all WOLCA students in Kindergarten through 8th grade have a dedicated art instruction class weekly. Additionally, WOLCA’s Select Art Class is provided after school for students 5th grade and above who are excelling in order to further develop their God-given talents and to prepare for various art competitions, including the Association of Christian Schools International. Also, our art program integrates with the various subjects (e.g., history, science and math).
